FISH testing for her-2 - negative pattern
with approximately equal numbers of red dots marking individual her-2 genes and green dots
marking the centromere of Chromosome 17. There is a degree of polysomy in this case with approximately 5 or 6 Chromosome 17s per cell. Original magnification x100 - cropped approx 50%.
'Mouse over' - positive pattern with true gene ampification - large numbers of her-2 gene copies indicated by clusters of red dots and very few green dots.
